Facilitation Skills

Getting the best out of any team / meeting/ committee depends on drawing out the best from all the participants, not the imposition of an individual's aims. This programme helps facilitators and managers to develop the necessary skills, knowledge and awareness to make effective interventions as a facilitator with teams at all levels of the organisation

Facilitators will leave this practical workshop with a thorough understanding of the context within which the facilitator must function, the role of the facilitator, group dynamics and the behavioural issues which combine to impact on individuals and groups achieving organisational goals.

Participants will apply the key skills and techniques to maximise the effectiveness of their interventions. The learning objectives will be achieved on this highly participative two-day, in-house workshop through a series of relevant exercises/role plays, structured reviews, inputs, feedback, discussion and through using a range of self-perception diagnostic instruments.

The option exists for a further half-day follow-up process to take place 6-8 weeks after the workshop to review issues relating to the implementation of the action plans.
