Structured Approach to Appraisals
Looking at the appraisal as an annual process and planning the key activities. How to use agreed objectives and measures of performance.

Delivering Constructive Feedback
Techniques and exercises on providing constructive feedback, to either reinforce or change behaviour. Managing conflict and dealing with “difficult” employees.

The Appraisal Meeting
The requirements to ensure both manager and employee are adequately prepared for the appraisal meeting. Common pitfalls and traps. How to structure and hold a positive two-way meeting. How to integrate career planning and training. How to overcome objections.

Follow-up
The importance of follow-through on commitments after the meeting, and the role of record keeping.
