Workshop Content
This one day workshop provides the delegates with a clear understanding
of what is needed to maintain and manage dignity in the workplace. It brings
to focus the issue of discrimination and how it can be avoided, and how
we can establish a working environment free from bullying, harassment or
sexual harassment. It explains how Irish legislation impacts on an organisation's
policies and procedures and gives the delegate an opportunity to identify
best practice for handling complaints. The workshop also deals with the
manager's responsibilities in case these behaviours exist in their teams
or how they should act if a team member complains. The following areas will
be covered:
- Employment Equality legislation in relation to harassment, sexual harassment and bullying
- Health and Safety legislation in relation to bullying
- Policies and procedures in relation to bullying, sexual harassment and harassment
- Ways to handle complaints of harassment or bullying in the work environment
- Updates on recent case law in these areas and lessons learned from them
