How to Promote Dignity and Respect in the Workplace
Workshop Content
This one day workshop provides delegates with a clear understanding of what is needed to maintain and manage dignity in the workplace. It brings to focus the issue of discrimination and how it can be avoided, and how we can establish a working environment free from bullying, harassment or sexual harassment. It explains how Irish legislation impacts on an organisation's policies and procedures and gives the delegate an opportunity to identify best practice for handling complaints. The workshop also deals with the manager's responsibilities should these behaviours exist in their teams. The following areas will be covered:
- Employment Equality legislation in relation to harassment and sexual harassment
- Health and Safety legislation in relation to bullying
- Policies and procedures in relation to harassment , sexual harassment and bullying
- Ways to handle complaints of harassment or bullying in the work environment
- Updates on recent case law in these areas and lessons learned from them
