Irish Employers Insuring against cost of Employee Claims

Graphite has announced the launch of a new insurance product for Irish Employers which will insure against compensation awards and associated costs of a claim under employment law for up to €1 million.

A unique aspect of this insurance cover, known as Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPL), is that it will also cover costs to an employer where the claim is either settled prior to hearing or is averted through mediation or arbitration. This insurance cover is the result of a joint venture between Graphite and Hiscox Insurance, brokered by JC Collins & Co Insurance Brokers.

Employment Practices Liability Insurance.

Graphite HRM and Hiscox Insurance have joined forces to provide Graphite Clients with Employment Practices Liability Insurance. This insurance will cover any legal fees, settlements or claims made against an employer under Irish Employment Law. Fees are as follows:

The premiums shown include Insurance Levy of 2% and Graphite HRM administrative fee of €50.00. The premiums stated above represent premiums due for the first 12 months of a continuous policy of insurance. This is not an annual policy. Excess is reduced as service level with Graphite HRM increases.
