Appointment of National Employment Rights Authority (NERA) Advisory Board – April '08

Mr. Billy Kelleher, Minister for Labour Affairs announced the appointment of the members of an Advisory Board for the National Employment Rights Authority (NERA) on Monday 14th April. The Advisory Board is being established on an interim basis in advance of the likely enactment of the Employment Law Compliance Bill, 2008 later this year.

The main functions of the Board, which are set out in the Bill, include advising NERA on:

The Bill states that the Advisory Board will have no function in relation to individual cases in which NERA is involved.
