ODP (Organisation Diagnostic Profiler) Model and Software
Many organisations gain
significant benefit from organisation diagnosis and recognises
the benefit of gathering the views of employees in order to get
feedback on what is working well, and what are the areas for improvement.
This helps to identity activities, behaviours and interventions
which will have a positive impact on the organisation, its climate
and improve its overall effectiveness.
The ODP survey process aims to provide senior management and HR,
with high quality information and analysis so they can identify
and address key issues in the organisation.
An ODP survey will inform on:
- How well people link their job to the organisation's goals
- How people perceive the climate and morale
- The extent to which people and units support each other
- The way managers support their employees to perform
- Differences between departments and likely reasons
- Where the organisation is strong and where it can improve
- How the organisation compares to best practice in the external marketplace
Graphite HRM Ltd have established a significant track record in the provision of organisation diagnostic surveys for our clients as an element of our work in organisation development.
Graphite has developed and patented an organisational tool called the “Organisational Diagnostic Profiler” (ODP), which has gained wide acceptance in the market place both in Ireland and internationally. ODP is a fully automated web based survey tool, which uses a factor model of organisational life with 90 standard questions as part of the model. Additional questions (20) can be added to the system to address company specific issues each time the survey is run. The data collection structure (demographic profile) is fully customizable to ensure that analysis can be carried out at all appropriate levels across the organisation.
For the success of any employee survey, pre-survey planning and communication is essential. We have found that pre-survey communications contribute significantly to employee response rates. The Outline Project Methodology and Approach, includes sample time frames, to aid decision making in the roll out of an employee survey.
An ODP result provides a benchmark of performance, and is designed for repeat use to gauge the performance improvement and the impact of interventions. ODP is unique in that Graphite can train an organisation to use the system themselves, providing independence from Graphite, or can provide a fully managed solution.
